Enjoy A Perfect East Neuk Holiday

It is no surprise that the East Neuk of Fife is regularly voted one of the best places to live in the British Isles.
The medieval fishing villages of Elie, Pittenweem, St Monans, Crail and Anstruther are all closeby and offer a
fantastic variety of fine beaches, picturesque harbours, traditional pubs, restaurants and art galleries.
There is a huge variety of top quality restaurants and atmospheric Scottish pubs within a 20 minute radius; some
are within walking distance of the apartment. St Andrews itself has all the facilities you would expect of a major
town, but with the preservation of small independent shops, which is, sadly, all too much of a rarity these days. The
combination of beaches, golf courses, historic buildings and the university make St Andrews the most attractive town
in Scotland.
There is possibly no better place on earth that provides such an extensive and concentrated range of golf courses
steeped in history and set amongst the loveliest of landscapes. From the Old Course in St Andrews to the renowned
Kingsbarns Club and even Elie's own picturesque course, you really are spoilt for choice. Most are links courses
providing spectacular sea views to say nothing of challenging golf! Golf bookings should be made in advance. Please
refer to www.standrews.org.uk for courses in
St Andrews; further information can be found via our links page.
The Fife Coastal Path is ideal for either leisurely or strenuous walks. Besides the many historic buildings in St
Andrews and along the East Neuk, Fife has lots more to offer inland, including Falkland Palace and Kellie Castle.
Elie has excellent local amenities, including two great local pubs, a fine dining restaurant, a family style coffee
shop, convenience store, deli, post office and art gallery.
